NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The driver involved in a fatal crash in North Richland Hills in November 2019 has been sentenced to prison, according to KDFW.

31-year-old Noemi Martinez was sentenced to 10 years behind bars and will have to serve at least five years before becoming eligible for parole.

Martinez pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter for the incident that occurred on Northeast Loop 820. Authorities said Martinez was driving the wrong way on the highway while intoxicated and struck three other vehicles.

A 17-year-old boy driving one of the other vehicles was killed in the crash. He was on his way to AT&T Stadium for a family tailgating party when the incident occurred.
