FORT WORTH, TX – A stolen pickup truck being pursued by police crashed in Fort Worth on Monday afternoon, WFAA reports.

Police said officers attempted a traffic stop on the driver after spotting the vehicle that was reported stolen from Arlington.

When the driver did not stop, officers set out in pursuit on Interstate 35W northbound. The driver exited the interstate on Loop 820 and then collided with another vehicle in the roadway’s eastbound lanes near Rufe Snow Drive.

The driver of the pickup was taken to an area hospital in stable condition. A passenger in the pickup was evaluated at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Police said the driver would be booked into jail after being released from the hospital.
