MANSFIELD, TX – Police in Mansfield are investigating a deadly crash involving three vehicles that took place last Thursday afternoon.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the accident happened in the 2400 block of U.S. 287 just before 5 p.m.

Investigators determined that the driver of a passenger vehicle rear-ended an SUV, causing it to spin and hit another SUV. The person in the passenger car, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was hurt in the wreck.

U.S. 287 was closed near the scene for several hours for the police investigation.
