ARLINGTON, TX – Police say a collision on East Division Street in Arlington Monday evening claimed the life of a bicyclist.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the bicyclist was crossing the street from north to south in the 800 block when the incident took place at about 6:30 p.m.

A 28-year-old man driving an Acura TSX struck the bicyclist, who was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.  No one else was injured.

Police said the victim, who has not yet been identified, was not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. He is not expected to face any charges at this time.
