DALLAS, TX – Police are trying to track down the drivers involved in a crash that killed a woman walking her dog in Far East Dallas Friday afternoon.
According to KDFW, the victim was identified as 73-year-old Linda Pearson. Investigators said she was walking across Ferguson Road near Highwood Drive at about 2:30 p.m. in an area where two drivers were speeding. Pearson was struck by at least one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene, while her dog was seriously injured.
The vehicles involved, a yellow car and a black car, took off after the incident without stopping. It was not yet clear which of them was the one that hit Pearson.
Anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run was asked to contact Dallas police as they try to locate the suspects.
