HURST, TX – A driver died after crashing his car into a fire house in Hurst Tuesday morning, causing a power outage in the area.

According to KRLD, Michael Dixon of North Richland Hills was pronounced dead at Medical City North Hills. Police believe Dixon suffered a medical episode while driving a utility truck and crashed into Hurst Fire Station #1 on Precinct Line Road. It was not yet known whether his death resulted from the medical episode or the crash. No one else was injured.

Dixon’s vehicle toppled at least two power poles before hitting the firehouse. Crews spent several hours repairing the damage and restoring power that was knocked out by the incident.
