DALLAS, TX – An SUV accident in Far North Dallas early Thursday morning left a driver dead, the
Dallas Morning News reports.

The incident, which took place on Dallas Parkway north near Frankford Road, took place shortly after 12:30 a.m. According to police, a witness reported seeing the SUV driver go through a red light at Frankford Road and continue at high speed heading toward a ramp for the Dallas North Tollway.

The SUV then crashed into a power pole and a tree before catching fire. The driver suffered fatal injuries in the wreck. The victim’s name was not immediately released.
