DALLAS, TX – Dallas police said a passenger was killed when a suspected drunk driver crashed in a pickup truck early Tuesday morning.
WFAA reports the incident happened on the Woodall Rodgers Freeway near North St. Paul Street shortly after midnight.
Police said the driver of a Nissan Titan pickup was on the Woodall Rodgers Freeway exit ramp, crossed over North St. Paul Street and crashed into a tree. A passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver is expected to face a charge of intoxication manslaughter as well as a firearm charge. The driver was hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
