ARLINGTON, TX – Police said a motorcyclist was involved in a fatal collision in Arlington on Saturday evening, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Investigators said a 21-year-old man riding a motorcycle went through a red light at the intersection of North West Green Oaks Boulevard and West Randol Mill Road at about 6 p.m. The motorcycle struck the back of a Mercedes Benz 400 Series as the driver of the car made a legal left turn, according to police.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. The Mercedes driver was not injured.
Witnesses told police the motorcyclist appeared to have been racing with another motorcycle just before the accident. The Mercedes driver will not face any charges in the incident, which remains under investigation.
