CLEBURNE, TX – A search is underway for the driver responsible for a deadly hit-and-run incident in Cleburne on Sunday night.
According to NBC DFW, police responded to the scene in the 100 block of Huron Street after a crash was reported shortly before 9 p.m.
Investigators determined that the driver of a pickup truck had struck three people during a disturbance and left the scene before officers arrived. One of the people who was hit, 32-year-old Jesus Correa-Munoz, suffered fatal injuries.
The other victims were two women. One suffered significant injuries, while the other’s injuries were not life-threatening.
Police issued an arrest warrant for murder for the suspected driver, identified as 23-year-old Alejandro Lopez. The truck believed to have been used in the incident, described as an older model white Chevy single cab pickup, was later located.
