FRISCO, TX – A teen is facing charges in connection to a suspected DWI  crash in Frisco yesterday, KRLD reports.

Police say 19-year-old Tello Hernandez was traveling at a high rate of speed on US-380 when he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a light pole.

The passenger in Hernandez’s vehicle, 21-year-old Erick Gonzalez, was ejected from the vehicle on impact. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later.

Hernandez was taken into custody after showing signs of impairment at the scene. He is currently facing an intoxication manslaughter charge.
