IRVING, TX – A woman was taken into custody after she crashed her vehicle into a liquor store and injuring a pedestrian in Irving last Friday night.
According to a report by NBC DFW, the accident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. at the Liquor Depot within the 3500 block of North Belt Line Road.
Investigators say 58-year-old Annie Williams was involved in a domestic issue with a man and attempted to run him over when she careened into the building. She then backed out and attempted to hit him again but struck several parked cars and another pedestrian instead.
Williams then fled the scene. She was located a short time later near the intersection of North Story Road and Rochelle Road.
The female pedestrian was hospitalized with a broken ankle.
Williams was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, DWI, criminal mischief, and evading arrest.
